Marketing Manager (B2B)

At Retina, we enable businesses to tell their own data stories.  We use data science and machine learning to predict the future buying behavior of consumers, and the types of actions that businesses can take around those predictions.  These sophisticated models are then turned into digestible strategic insights and actionable marketing segments.

Our founding team has led data science teams at Facebook and Paypal, built and sold companies, and built the core tech behind several startups.  We are venture-funded and looking for the next few passionate team members who want the opportunity to transform the world.

As the Marketing Manager for Retina AI, you will be the first hire for the Marketing Department to create an immediate and meaningful impact on Retina's business through leading growth initiatives across all marketing channels.  You will own the strategy and execution of cross channel marketing deliverables that increase Retina's brand awareness and client growth.

You will work closely with leadership, sales, and the data science teams to drive new client growth, optimize sales enablement, and reinforce Retina's vision/story. You will create a diverse range of content, including but not limited to, marketing campaigns, presentations, blog and web copy, customer success stories, and leverage data/insights across the various digital marketing platforms.

As the Marketing Manager at Retina, you are data driven and analytical, and can turn data into actionable recommendations.  You are self-motivated, creative, and collaborative. You are nimble and love the fast-paced start-up environment where there are many shades of gray and have the ability to easily navigate through them.  And you are very much driven by innovation and technology.

  • Create, execute, and manage cross channel marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and client growth
  • Take ownership of marketing metrics by using a data-driven approach to marketing strategy
  • Ensure strategies are clearly communicated and aligned with leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Identify growth opportunities in marketing and content expansion that will drive engagement and retention
  • Understand and develop budgets.  Manage paid marketing initiatives for Retina AI
  • Generate and manage content for marketing website (wordpress), whitepapers, and other externally-facing materials
  • Manage online and offline events, and partnerships - including but not limited to - webinars, meetup groups, and external community outreach
  • Oversee marketing interns for Linkedin posts, blog content, email and social marketing
  • Become an expert in our market, including monitoring the latest industry trends and competitor landscape
  • 4+ years experience in B2B marketing with a SaaS company
  • Solid experience in strategy and execution of cross channel marketing including SEO, SEM, Content Marketing, Social Media, E-mail marketing
  • Extremely strong analytical skills and quantitative skill sets to understand and manage data including audience segmentation, insights development, and performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Collaborative, flexible, self-motivated, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Excel/Powerpoint proficiency, SQL skill sets are strongly preferred
