The Recruiter at Retina, a customer lifetime value modeling company, will be a key member of the team and will be responsible for sourcing, phone screening, scheduling, as well as making sure that candidates have a great experience and successful interview day. As such, the Recruiter will learn from and be intimately involved with activities across the company, from employee meetings to engaging with candidates. The position includes independently managing ongoing projects and reports capturing recruiting information.The ideal candidate for a Recruiter will be a passionate people-connector who is motivated by the opportunity to develop creative approaches to solving challenging talent problems by leveraging technology to manage internal recruiting and hiring flow. Because of the Recruiter broad exposure to all parts of the company, they will be positioned for growth and promotion within the company. This position is a part-time job (20 hours/week).


  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
  • Source candidates through various methodologies (i.e. recruiting social events, social media, coordination with other recruiting partners)
  • Draft, post, and manage job descriptions in our applicant tracking system
  • Source and manage candidate pipeline via various platforms (i.e. Greenhouse, LinkedIn, Indeed)
  • Preliminary screening of candidates and ensure they fit the company culture
  • Understand Retina’s products and promote company culture and reputation
  • Work with the hiring manager to schedule candidate phone/video/on-site interviews, reserve rooms, coordinate travel and accommodation, and any other logistics to ensure our candidates have the best possible experience
  • Prepare interview process swiftly and effectively, including crafting expense reports
  • Support and set-up employee on-boarding and off-boarding processes
  • Provide any other administrative support for the company, such as managing calendars and keep executives informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of Recruiting, HR, or Admin experience required
  • HR experience, consulting experience in a firm, recruitment agency, in-house corporate talent team, or consulting firm
  • Solid experience and ability to conduct various types of interviews: structured, competency-based, and behavioral
  • Excellent computer skills including Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse preferred), G Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with superb attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information carefully and professionally
  • Experience with high-volume coordination and working across multiple functions
  • Problem-solver: Ability to prioritize conflicting needs and handle problems expeditiously
  • Collaborative worker who identifies roadblocks early on and informs others about the problem, along with proposed solutions
  • Positive attitude and ability to work within a close-knit team
